Tarceva® (
erlotinib) are at risk for potentially dangerous side effects, including life-threatening lung inflammation (pneumonitis). Symptoms of this problem include:
- Cough
- Shortness of breath
- Fever.
If you develop any of these symptoms, notify your healthcare provider right away. You may have a higher risk of pneumonitis if you have had previous chemotherapy or radiation therapy.
