Some Navelbine side effects are potentially serious and should be reported to your healthcare provider immediately. These potential reactions include but are not limited to:
- Signs of infection, such as:
- Fever
- Chills
- Aches and pains
- Sore throat
- Cough
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Unusual bleeding or bruising (see Blood Clotting Problems and Chemotherapy)
- Signs of anemia, such as:
- Fatigue
- Pale skin
- Dizziness
- Shortness of breath
- Redness, swelling, blisters, pain, or leakage of fluid around your injection site (the site where you receive your dose)
- Severe constipation
- Cough or shortness of breath
- Sores in your mouth or throat (see Mouth and Gum Problems During Chemotherapy)
- Signs of liver problems, such as:
- Yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes (jaundice)
- Dark urine
- Extreme tiredness
- Pain on the right side of the abdomen (stomach)
- Chest pain
- Warmth, redness, pain, or swelling over one area of an arm or leg
- Changes in how well you hear
- Muscle weakness that causes difficulty moving or walking
- Low blood pressure (hypotension) or high blood pressure (hypertension)
- A fast heartbeat (tachycardia)
- Severe or persistent nausea and vomiting
- Signs of an allergic reaction, such as:
- An unexplained rash
- Hives
- Itching
- Unexplained swelling, especially of the mouth, lips, or throat
- Wheezing
- Difficulty breathing or swallowing.
