Anesthesia for LobectomyGeneral anesthesia is used for a lobectomy, which means that you will be put into a deep sleep that keeps you from feeling pain, pressure, or movement during the procedure. Your surgery may also involve spinal anesthesia, which is used to decrease your pain after the surgery. There are possible complications and side effects when using anesthesia for lobectomy -- to reduce your risk of complications, it is important to tell you doctor (before your surgery) about any allergies or other medical conditions you have.
