Drug Interactions With Doxorubicin
Streptozosin (Zanosar)
Streptozosin may increase the level of doxorubicin in your blood, increasing your risk of side effects. Talk to your healthcare provider about the benefits and risks of using these medications together.
Trastuzumab (Herceptin)
Taking trastuzumab with doxorubicin can increase your risk of congestive heart failure (CHF). Generally, these medications should not be taken together.
Verapamil (Calan, Calan SR, Covera-HS, Isoptin SR, Verelan, Verelan PM)
Combining verapamil with doxorubicin may increase the risk of doxorubicin side effects, particularly the side effects that affect the heart. Talk to your healthcare provider before taking these medications together.
